The client published thousands of financial documents — annual budgets, audit reports, legislative summaries — but the default HubSpot search was too blunt. Users were leaving the site without finding the documents they came for. The bounce rate on the search page was over 80%.

Search Engine.

We built a custom HubDB-backed search system with filters for year, document type, jurisdiction, and keyword — all rendered client-side for instant results. HubDB tables act as the indexed document store, with nightly webhook updates from the client's backend system.

→ Real-time keyword filtering across title, tags, and description fields
→ Year and document-type facets with result counts
→ Deep-link shareable URLs for every filter state
